Apartment Corte Nova Canale is a splendid apartment located in the Castello district of Venice, a tranquil district close by to San Marco (15 min on foot). There is a water door for direct access from a water taxi.
The Palazzo has been completely restored in 2005 and has its own private garden, a laundry for the apartments on the ground floor and a water door which allows you to arrive by water taxi directly to your apartment.
You enter apartment Corte Nova – Canale directly into the living room which has large comfortable L-shaped sofa bed, TV and small balcony overlooking a picturesque canal.
From the living room you access the fully equipped kitchen with microwave, American coffee maker, fridge and all utensils necessary to create full meals.
The kitchen also has a dining table for four people and has a large walk in cupboard for the storage of suitcases.
A small hallway from the living room leads to a double bedroom with a queen sized bed and built in wardrobes.
The modern bathroom has a shower box, WC & bidet, this is also accessed from the the hallway.
There is a well stocked supermarket only a 2 minute walk from the apartment.
The area of Castello is a tranquil spot away from the tourist areas yet only a 15 mins walk to the Rialto bridge and 15 mins to San Marco. The area has excellent restaurants and wine bars and you can access the vaporetto within 15 mins yet you can walk all over Venice from this location without using any transport.

My wife and I had the most wonderful holiday in Venice. Our accommodation was very central, it had everything we needed for the 7 days that we stayed in Venice. The apartment was spacious, very modern, had all that was required for a home away from home and the staff were very friendly and very helpful with local knowledge and events. Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children 8 & 10) stayed for 3 nights late May. This was our first trip to Venice and Italy and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We caught a water taxi directly from the airport (100 euro for 4 of us) in about 30 minutes which dropped us off directly at the apartment water gate (worth the cost and the exhilarating ride across the lagoon). The apartment – Corte Nova Canale was spacious, bright, clean and modern with a balcony and rooms overlooking the canal. Located on the first floor with easy steps to manage with luggage as the lift wasn’t working. The kids loved watching the boats go past at breakfast time. The facilities were great and the manager friendly and helpful, pointing us in the direction of the local supermarket, sights, water buses and recommending restaurants to try. The complimentary sachets of tea/coffee and sugar were helpful to get us started, prior to visiting the local supermarket (just across the canal from the apartment). It was an easy 10min walk to San Zaccaria Vaporetto stop, and St Marks Square and approx. 15 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge through the gorgeous Venetian streets. Would have no hesitation in recommending and would love to return someday. Thank you for making our stay in Venice memorable. Having never travelled to Italy before or stayed in apartments whilst traveling overseas I was a little apprehensive having heard so many nightmare traveller stories about apartment bookings. However every step of the reservation process and confirmation was handled very thoroughly and professionally. The information provided about the apartments ( I booked three in various cities) was accurate, clear directions and instructions were given and owners / managers at the apartments at the agreed time to meet us. We couldn't find anything to fault. It was roomy, and we were especially pleased at how light it was -- good-sized windows overlooking the canal, and nice high ceilings. The position is perfect, and everything was clean and well maintained. We'd go back in a flash.
