*Chianti Villa *San Godenzo is an independent,  elegant Tuscan villa with gardens and swimming pool is situated in a small, calm village of medieval origin in the heart of the Tuscan “Appennino” with splendid panoramic views of the surrounding valley and forests of chestnut trees.

Built during the early century has been elegantly and faithfully restored and decorated with some furniture and artefacts dating back centuries.

Every room offers an incredible view and the whole villa offers a relaxing atmosphere.

The villa has 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one with bath and the other with a hydromassage shower, a perfect way to wind down the day.

There is also a living room, kitchen, dining room and study.

The garden on several levels offers a covered terrace area with outside wood oven and pizza oven, running fountain, swimming pool and a consecrated chapel.

Why not relax on the terrace where there is a outdoor wood oven (and pizza oven if you are brave enough), and sit back taking in the views of the peaceful gardens and the spectacular valley beyond whilst sipping local wine and breathing in the fragrance and scents of flowers only Italy can offer

Villa San Godenzo recently added a ‘dependance’ accesible via the private garden; it consists of 1 master bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area for 6 and a single sofa bed.

It will therefore be able to accomadate an extra 3 people in addition to the actual villa.

The opportunity to appreciate the fine art of Florence, just 45 minutes away, is coupled with the possibility to savour the Tuscan essence by exploring the surrounding countryside and wine trails.

Another experience not to be missed – horse riding, which can be done close by the national park.

Near by San Godenzo, with its foundations dating back to 1082, hosts an ancient Benedectine abbey, a fine example of romanesque architecture.

Dicomano, a market town since the middle ages and Vicchio, the birth place of Giotto are also very close by and well worth a visit.

During the summer and autumn you’ll often see medieval festivals and traditional local events.
