Rome – the city of visible history, where the past of a whole hemisphere seems moving in funeral procession with strange ancestral images and trophies gathered from afar."
George Eliot

Rome Apartment Eliot is one of seven meticulous apartments located in one building, Palazzo Fortuny; a rare and unique gem, centrally located, yet privately and safely tucked away behind secure gates, perched on a small hill in a setting of lush greenery bordering the beautiful Villa Borghese. The area is surrounded by trees offering a tranquil environment almost like being in the country, with no traffic noise, yet you are only ten minutes walk from Piazza Del Popolo and 15 minutes walk to the Spanish Steps.

The apartment is on the first floor with no elevator, 30 steps to the front door. You enter into the living room, which has two single sofas/beds and a dining table for four people. The decor is modern classical; there are windows surrounding this room giving plenty of natural sunlight and views.

There is a separate spacious bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower (guests sleeping in the living room need to access it via the bedroom). The kitchen is small yet well equipped for preparing snacks and meals, and a secluded terrace for relaxing outdoors. The air conditioner is in the living room only, yet cools the bedroom as well when the doors are left open.

  • It must be noted that the street in which this building is located is approximately 100 metres from the main street of via Flaminia and the building is at the end of this street which has an incline, if you have any mobility issues this should be taken into consideration.
