Description

85 sqm (915 sqft)
Located on the 1st floor (2nd floor USA)
Bed linens & Towels supplied

This bright and well planned apartment is located within short walking distance to the Colosseum, one of Rome’s most spectacular monuments, right in the Renaissance era.

The location offers the best of both worlds; slightly out of the center offers tranquility and yet close enough to walk and see all you planned for your vacation in the eternal city.

This spacious apartment is on the first floor; bright and totally refurbished; pollished floorboards throughout, the layout being on two levels offering plenty of privacy to guests.

You enter and find yourself in a welcoming living room with an open modern and fully equipped kitchen.

The kitchen area also has a large dining table dating back to the 1800’s for eight people.

There are two single sofa beds on the opposite side of the room that can sleep two people and large windows where natural light pours into the room.

There’s a separate queen sized bedroom next to the living room, where you’ll find the first en-suite bathroom; a bathtub and overhead shower.

The second floor is reached via a modern staircase and is open space living, without feeling crammed.

There’s a king size bed on one side of the room; a relaxed living area features some fabulous leather easy chairs, separating the sleeping areas, where you’ll find another two single sofa beds.

There’s also a second bathroom with shower on this floor.

The entire building externally and internally has undergone a complete restoration.

You’ll find lots of restaurants, cafes and outdoor markets in the neighborhood, where you’ll enjoy feeling like a local.

We are a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 children) who stayed at the Mecenate Apartment. The apartment was wonderfully located, only a 10 minute walk from the Termini Station and close to the Colosseum. Archilles met us at the apartment and we checked in earlier that the official 2:00pm check-in as we were fortunate that no-one had stayed overnight. The apartment was well equipt and we made use of all cooking and washing facilities. If more that 4 people are staying in the apartment and you will be using the sofas as bedding you need to know that the 'sofas' are actually concrete with a 10cm foam mattress laid on top (both upstairs and downstairs). I do not know now comfortable these would be to sleep on as we did not use the sofas for this purpose only the bedding.
