My daughter and I had a fantastic stay in the apartment monseratto, Francesca couldnt have been more helpful to us from picking my daughter up from the airport even when her flight was delayed to greeting me with fruit & wine and the warmth of an old friend. It is in a fantastic location, plenty of cafes close by, supermarket almost at the front door and the comp de fiori markets just around the corner etc The apartment is exactly as it is shown there are no hidden surprises it is as fantastic as it looks, I recommend it to anyone staying in rome. we will most definately stay in this apartment again. Thank you francesca xx from Marcia & I cant recommend this apartment enough, a fabulous location, great value for money. why stay in a hotel when you can have some breathing space in the centre of Rome. everything you will need is in this apartment.

This was my second time at Apartment Monserrato and it was all I remembered and more. The apartment had recently been decorated and was clean and fresh. Francesca met us and we were greeted warmly and she had left a bottle of wine and fruit for us. We will return to Rome and I would not consider staying anywhere else but this lovely apartment. It is comfortable, clean and within walking distance of all the main attractions. All you need for a Roman Holiday. Linda Good Scotland

Neat, clean place to crash in an excellent location, with lots of restaurants and pubs nearby. As the apartment faces away from the street there is no street noise to deal with, although you can hear every word the neighbours say through the inner courtyard. Useful appliances in the apartment, but internet access would be good. While not exactly enormous, but nothing in this price range is in the centre of Rome. We'd definitely be keen to book again next time we're in town.

September 2012. What a beautiful and elegant location for our visit in Roma! This is a superb apartment, clean and nicely organised just perfect for a couple or family of three in a very convenient area of Via del Monserrato. The owner, Francesca, was very friendly and helpful and had organised everything for us, including a spot for parking our car just a block away. The apartment location allows you to walk everywhere in Roma, from Trastevere to the Vaticano, Piazza Navona, Piazza di Spagna, Colosseum and Foro Romano and many more places! No need to get public transport at all. The apartment is very close to Piazza Farnese e Campo dei Fiori with many restaurants and cafes at the door step. But if you wish to cook your meals/breakfast, as we did, there is a small supermarket well stocked with fresh food and delicatessen, really just around the corner! Unfortunately it was only a short stay for us this time, but we are planning to go back very soon and stay longer at the Monserrato’s appartment for our “Vacanze Romane”!

#12 Via Monserrato was one of the best things about our visit to Rome, perfect for me and my wife on our anniversary holiday. It shows that the host put all the thought necessary for a comfortable stay in the apartment. It is clean and has just about everything you can need. The best part is that it is centrally located and we were able to walk to most of the places of interest... 10 minutes to Vetican, 15 minutes to Via Del Corso for some awesome shopping, 25 minutes to Colossium. It was perfect, I'd stay there over and over

Thank you Francesca for your welcome. Your apartment was presented immaculately. We felt privileged to have stayed in your apartment and would highly recommend it to anyone contemplating a stay in Rome. Being an older couple we were still able to walk to all the major tourist attractions. The supermarket, restaurants and cafes were also close by. The air-conditioning was much appreciated as Rome was experiencing a heatwave. We loved our stay here.

My boyfriend and I started our 2 week vacation at this little apartment in Rome. The location was great we were able to walk to all the main attractions and very close to shops restaurants and bars. The apartment was decorated very nicely and was a good use of space. It had air conditioning and a fan. We met the owner at the apartment at the time we had agreed on. Francesca had a lovely bottle of wine for us and explained all the amenities. This is a great place for two people. We felt very at home. I would stay here again and gladly recommend it to anyone. It looks just like it does I'm the pictures.

This place is centrally located and yet surprisingly quiet, a rarity for a place within the Aurelian walls. The layout is modern, comfortable, and well appointed. The kitchen is perfect for preparing salads and cooking light meals, and is perfect for balancing eating in and going out an enjoying a wonderful dinner. Also since the Campo is quick walk nearby, you can go get wonderful produce, fruit, cheeses, bread etc for a lovely little lunch at home. If you are on the fence, please take my recommendation, I really enjoyed coming home here and felt absolutely comfortable - and if you knew me, you would know that I am very very very picky.

Francesca was very helpful, gave us lots of info. Check-in/out was very smooth. We were able to use free wifi at nearby cafes.

Wonderfully interesting location central to all the major tourist sites and with all the amenities we wanted nearby. The apartment has style and character and the welcome we received from Francesca was an unexpected delight. So much thought has gone into anticipating everything guests might need and providing useful local information. Highly recommended!

The apartment's location (in the vicinity of Campo de' Fiori) is brilliant; and while there is some traffic on the via Monserrato, the apartment is virtually noise-free. The apartment is well taken care of, the room and bathroom are clean and comfortable; we loved the charming mural on the bedroom wall. Did not cook/use the kitchen - but it looked well equipped for making simple meals. Would not hesitate to rent it again. PS. If you are looking for a good view from and/or lots of daylight in the apartment - consider other alternatives.

This apartment was a perfect home base for experiencing and exploring Rome, and was exactly as pictured and described (except the cleaning fee was 45 euros instead of 25). We were thrilled with the proximity to everything we wanted (especially Campo de' Fiori -- which must be visited in the morning for the market and pizza bianca or rossa, at lunch time for the panini, and in the evening for the passegiata -- and Osteria da Fortunato at Via del Pellegrino 12, for a home cooked meal with pasta made right in front of you). The nearby bus and taxi stops at Chiesa Nuova were great for coming and going, but we walked almost everywhere. Rosie was very gracious, and provided helpful suggestions and maps. Because we stayed for ten nights we did not want to carry cash for the entire stay, so we paid by credit card in advance of our arrival. That worked well for us. The apartment had everything we needed, even a hair dryer. The bed was big and comfortable. There is a low beam over the loft, but my wife is only 5' 3", so she took the far side of the bed, and didn't have to duck at all. There is a low doorway into the kitchen, as well as a step, so if you are tall, you have to step up and duck at the same time -- but that was not much of an issue, and the old arch there adds so much character that you wouldn't want it changed. We would be very happy to stay at the Apartment Monserrato again, and recommend it highly.

Holiday to Rome was very good. Apartment Monserrato is just minutes from the local food shop, and 5-10 minutes gets you to a variety of Restaurants. The bus stop is about 2 mins away and has connections to the Main Termini Station, the colloseum and the Vatican City. However all the main attractions are within easy walking distance without using the buses if this is preferable. We found that during the heat of the day it was easier using the buses to get around but then in the evening to walk everywhere. Inside the apartment was very clean, though the apartment is small it is plently big enough for a couple. The bathroom is nice too with a good shower. Air conditioning worked well. Would recommend this apartment to any visitors.

This apartment is in a great location. We easily walked (even with jet lag) to Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona, and the Pantheon. We also walked to the Capitolini Museum and the Colosseum. The apartment itself is a good use of space and feels bigger than it actually is. If you have any mobility problems, though, you might have some difficulty with the loft steps. It looks just like the web site depicts, only it's lighter and airier. Rosie met us and was very pleasant and pointed out grocery stores in the area. There are a lot of restaurants a very short distance away, so you'll have a lot to choose from. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfectly located, central yet peaceful. Ideal for a short visit to Rome. We would highly recommend it to any small family group. Comfortable and compact. We were there in late April, the weather was lovely but we did wonder if the apartment might be very hot in the height of the summer.

the Monserrato apartment was in a wonderful spot to thoroughly enjoy walking in Rome - we were able to walk to all major places and if tired at the end of the morning there were bus stops for both the main buses and the little inner city ones near to the apartment. the proximity to the Campo dei Fiore made picking up delicious food easy and a great pleasure. The apartment was exactly as advertised on the net. We were a little surprised that it did not have a washing machine (but that was an assumption we made). As it was hot we were glad of the very efficient ac. AnnC Australia

We loved the accomodation. The owner was there on arrival and walked us thru the accomodation (he spoke good English) and was a very friendly man. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen and bath right sized. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION, it was a GREAT location. Close to just about everything. We walked everywhere

We loved this apartment - the location is great - what a joy to walk out the door each morning! It was a perfect size for my husband and I. We're in our early 40s so the two flights of stairs were no problem. Loved the little bottle shop next door! Always a cold Peroni when you need it. On our arrival we were told there was a problem with the shower - the previous guest had smashed the shower screen. I got a call from Rosa the owner full of apologies and by the time we got back from our walk she had set up a temporary show curtain and left us a bottle of sparking wine and a lovely note. We really appreciated her prompt attention and that slight setback in no way affected our enjoyment of the apartment. There was an air con unit which we used as it was very hot and there was plenty of space to stretch out. Our only suggestion would be a different couch - maybe a single seater and a two seater? there is room for another couch so that would make it even more comfortable. Regarding the airport transfers, we can't fault them. The cars were clean and new, and the drivers courteous and prompt - our return trip was at 4.45am - way too early for us but the driver was right on time, even at that hour. Rome is a magical place and Campo di Fiori is a fantastic place to base yourself, and this apartment is great for two people. We would definately stay there again.
