This is a typical Roman home, with exposed beams, wooden floors and the true character you should expect from a Rome apartment.
The property is located in a grand ancient Palazzo, composed of a spacious living and dining area with a dining table.
There are two bedrooms; one is a double and the other a bedroom with two single beds which can be configured to a double bed on request.
The delightful kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you need to cook meals and snacks;fresh produce and a wonderful selection of Italian specialities is available at the famous open market in Campo dei Fiori.
A charming small furnished terrace can be accessed from the kitchen and there is a second communal terrace on the top floor, rarely used by other tenants, offers you a wonderful view of the Roman rooftops, especially at night.
The bathroom is fully tiled and has a shower; there’s also a second private WC.
You’ll be short walking distance to every famous landmark, that will leave lasting memories of the eternal city.
- Noise in Rome, this useful note is from the owner in response to one guest mentioning the noise from one of the artisans workshops nearby apartment Montoro, this is very useful information in understanding the typical noise in Rome.
Campo de’ Fiori is one of the oldest parts of the city where there are many artisans workshops in the area. The very old artisans workshop our guest refers to is just in front of the building. Most of the time they work without any noise, however sometimes they use tools which can make noise. As most tourists are generally not at home 12 hours per day, I think the noise they can hear, sometimes, can be considered the usual city noise for Rome. It depends on one’s sensibility. Most people visiting Rome do not complain as they are aware that it is a characteristic of ancient Rome and considering that this is a no traffic zone for vehicles, is also absolutely peaceful on Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, after 6 pm and during the nights this more than makes up occasional noises during the day. No noise at all though very close to Campo dei Fiori.
If people want to stay in the very heart of the city they can’t expect not to hear any noise and most importantly when they rest in the evening and during the night, in via Montoro there is only silence.
Apartments in Piazza Navona and Campo dei Fiori are under constant noise (people talking, drinking, children playing, markets) all day long….via Montoro, in comparison, is a haven as there are neither bars nor restaurants in this sheet.

We had a wonderful time in this apartment. A beautiful spacious apartment, even if the second bedroom is rather small. The location is perfect and we would return.

The apartment is very spacious, comfortable and homely. It is also in a fantastic location, just around the corner from Campo de' Fiori and within easy walking distance of all the sights and attractions of Rome. Our only criticism is that the apartment is located directly opposite a wood merchant's shop and was very noisy with the sounds of saws and machinery from 8:30am 12:30 until 3pm-6pm, Monday to Friday.*** See note on apartment page ***
